This might be the game of the week in Class 3A. Bardstown has been on a tear to open the season and Elizabethtown still looks formidable, even though the talent isn't quite what it was last year. Who is winning?

I'll take Bardstown in a close game at home. Etown just isn't very good this year. Bardstown is better this year, although clearly not a contender. Should be a great game between two average squads..

Intriguing matchup that piques my interest

Additional info: This game is played at BHS on the Friday night of Kentucky Bourbon Festival. It will be a major pain in the backside for E'town fans just to get to campus, since their usual access point from 5th Street coming off the BG Parkway and US 62 will be blocked. Some people will have to walk from several blocks away, if they can park that close. Downtown traffic — cars and pedestrians — will be ridiculous.

There will be live music playing very close by, within about 150 yards, and at least a few of the people at the game will have had a lot to drink while enjoying the festival. A lot of locals figure to be there, especially with NC and Bethlehem out of town, and TNHS on bye.

Wow Schue....as a guy who is VERY familiar with the Bourbon Festival, let me say - you NAILED it!

I'll be watching from the beer garden;)

This year marks my 10th. During that time, I've seen some things, and I've seen some stuff.

I will be conducting the tailgate in front of the Elementary School, and then the press booth. Its also "Future Tiger" Night, and my 6th and 7th grade team will be out there at halftime.

E-Town is certainly capable of winning, but in my opinion just too many weapons for the Tigers, assuming they play the way they are capable of.
