You must be thinking of #12 Cramer who was throwing darts. He has the better arm. Schoellman did make a heckuva a throw in the TD though, he took a shot just as it was released.

 

The Qb who played in the 4th quarter was better. He was not the starter.

#12 and #35 switched series all game long. No matter what. Cramer does have the biggest arm on the JV. An will be a name everyone will get use to in the future.

Yes, I stated it at the beginning of the year they had Zero depth at line. I counted 17 total lineman on JV/Varsity and 2 are no longer with the team. But hey they have a 250 lb punter.

Sophomore Nate Roberts hauled in a long pass from Carl Schoellman for the go ahead score late in the 4th. Birds led 6-0 the entire 1st half when right before the half Ryle punt returner took one to the house to lead 7-6.

 

Highlands was so depleted on the line they were alternating running backs Cooper Scwalbach and Larry Wilson at LT. Another kid #42 and a back/receiver filled in at RT.

 

Nice day defensively for Bird OLB Jackson Hagedorn who got 2 tip drill picks. Jr Logan Seiple and Soph Bailey Armstrong also made some serious defensive plays. Birds stopped Ryle twice on 4th and short late in the game.

 

Surprised to see #94 DT Andre Riddick for Ryle play 2 games this weekend. He got a ton of Varsity snaps last night and was a cog in the middle today starting on the DL. Ryle QB Jake Smith has a nice future as well.

 

 

Overall very nice job Birds.

 

I think they are playing Andre Riddick as much as they can on both JV and V because they want to see development out of him. He is right there, very close to being a good player. He is a very inexperienced football player, this is his only 2nd season playing. He shows signs of good things to come, but he needs as many snaps as he can get.

 

I was wondering about a Highlands JV Olineman. I think he was #74, pretty big kid. Good Looking frame. I don't recall seeing him play on Friday night.
