Nobody will say that Kasey Clark is not a good back, but does he have the breakaway speed that the college programs look for?

I don't know his 40 time but I would say he has enough speed.

Enough speed for what though?

Exactly. Doug Howard ran past high school D's and Josh Gross was awesome, but neither went big. Is Clark that good?

Enough speed to play. Whether that be on offense or defense. Many people have said that as good of a RB as Clark is he is even better on defense. I believe this is true. He is just a great football player.

Gross is faster and is now at Georgetown (which is now slouch by the way). Clark has one advantage though. Gross IMO was one of the most explosive RBs I ever saw and Howard was one of the most powerful. Neither though came close to being 6 feet tall. Gross was 5'8" and I am not sure about Howard but I would guess about 5'10". Clark is 6'1" and 200 pounds with enough speed to play anywhere on the field.

Yes he is that good and has the size to go along with it. Thats no knock on the other two names that were brought up. But as the saying goes, "You can't teach size". I think Clark will be just fine.

What impressed me about GROSS was that you never heard of him in trouble, never heard him act out of character, CLARK is the same. ALL the HYPE on these boys, all the eyes on you at all times. Recognized in public by parents, past grads and future Devils coming up. They are always positive to the younger kids and willing to be role models. YES we as parents, fans and family tend to build our kids, make them larger than life to others, but these kids remain to be building blocks for our program. We love them. Josh-- keep running at Georgetown, great job. Kasey,,,eyes on the future.

Excellent point......D-1 coaches WILL NOT recruit a RB id he isn't 6'0 or above, unless he has phenomenal agility, vision, speed, etc. Gross & Howard were both adequate in all of these alreas, but their lack of height hurt them.

Good luck to Clark this year and in college.

I'm not sure where Kasey will wind up, but he has been invited to visit at least 3 D-1 schools that I know of...one in the SEC, one in the Big East and one in the Big 10. Is that big enough?
