Does Danville have to beat Mayfield at WKU to be #1?

 

I wouldn't go that far, but Mayfield will have to stump their toe pretty hard I think to drop the #1 mantle.

Not sure..depends on how those games played out and if anyone was banged up.

 

 

 

If Danville puts a hurting on Corbin (like 4+ TD's) and Mayfield loses or barely wins (less than a TD) I think it will be hard not giving Danville the edge unless there are other circumstances at play (like last year when Corbin fumbled it like 57 times on bad snaps against Danville).

 

With that said... Mayfield is a team that you simply have to give the benefit of the doubt to considering the run they are on. Danville has quickly returned to relevance but they simply don't have the clout at the moment to expect to win the Title. To be fair I don't think CAL has the clout as well.

In 2014 & 2015 Mayfield has gone 14-1 and both losses were in OT to 6A McCracken County. Obviously I'm biased but if we did lose the game Friday night by a small margin then I think we should still remain at the #1 spot. If they blow us off the field then that's a different story. I don't see that happening though.

 

Look, if Mayfield loses by a TD. They are still #1.If they get blown out. I still put them #1. IF they lose another game (example Corbin) then they move down.

Fair enough. I was curious. And as a Boyle County fan please don't take this as me defending Danville. There are a lot of good people at Danville and the ones I love and respect I love and respect to the fullest. It's still Danville though.
