:lol2: Not at all. I gave a reason. People come across as bitter and unoriginal most of the time. Often, if their team gets bashed, they get offended but love to bash other teams. So comical to me. :lol2:

Don't make the mistake Deuce made and think it bothers me, if you think that you misunderstand. I actually LOVE when others hate on my teams. Makes the season that much more enjoyable for me. I would just like to see a little more originality in the hating once in a while.

 

A while back, when all the Manti Te'o stuff was going on, a guy on another site posted "The Manti Te'o jokes are funny, but let's all try to remember, a person that never existed is dead". :lol: That's funny stuff right there!

I don't know, I think they still would have lost. Texas just seemed destined to win. It's good for their program and I hope they use it as a springboard to a great season. I've always liked the Longhorns. I hope to see them vying for a National Championship soon.

That's cool with me. I have zero against the Cards. Would love to see them in the top 2 as well playing for a Championship. I would also love to see them and the Irish in a bowl game of any kind. I'm not a bitter man, lol.

I believe most people dislike/hate Notre Dame for the same reason people hate SEC football and Duke/UNC basketball. It's because of the perceived media bias when it comes to inflated rankings each year.

 

Spot on LRCW. That is it for me. The 3 teams I prefer to see lose are Notre Dame football (football only; I will actually root for them in other sports); the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. All those teams have been crammed down my throat by the media for years and that is why I am good with them losing. Still, I don't actively hate on those three. I even like players on those teams. Heck, I rooted for Notre Dame when Gerry Faust was there. So I don't hate them. It is more like ... Notre Dame lost? Good.

Absolutely. That's a huge game to make your debut in, especially as a true freshman. Buechele is UT's guy for sure.

The turning point for me on Notre Dame football is when they got the TV deal from NBC back in 1991. When they became the only college team with a deal like that to be on TV every Saturday, that sealed the deal on the Notre Dame media hype going over the top and Notre Dame getting an unfair advantage from the media.
