Pulaski Southwestern 34 Somerset 28

Featured Replies

The kickers have not had proper amount of practice days to play in a game.

The new kicker who alot will know from the basketball court is Jonathan Edwards. He can flat out kick a football.

Good info SW2000, I know SW usually has a good kicking game. I was kinda shocked to see squibs on kickoffs and going for 2 every play. Good luck the rest of the way.

I give credit to the Southwestern coaching staff for going for it on fourth down late in the game on about the 25 yard line. That was a critical play in the outcome of this game. Coach A must have read a Hal Mummy book before the game. I liked the call, so hats off to you coach A.

As for the kicking game Edwards is known for his long range 3's on the hardwood I hope he can transfer it out to the football field.

That is a great point Hector, you are exactly right. Gutsy call and it worked for them. I think if Somerset had of gotten the ball back then they may have had the momentum to score the game winner. Good coaching decision!!!

A stupid penalty cost Somerset a chance to stop SW in their own territory, late in the game. Somerset stopped the run and it was going to be 3rd and about 8 from their own 35 and one of our d-lineman (not going to sling a name out there) kicked a SW player in the stomach when he got off the pile and the 15 yard penalty gave SW a first down at midfield.
