Caruthers gets 3 more TDs to close in on alltime scoring record. If Caruthers has big game next week vs X and Purples go 15-0 with him securing scoring record for BG, I think he could be frontrunner for Mr. Football

Big Night at El Donaldson Stadium for the Purples!

 

Like last week BG jumped on the Colonels early and never allowed the Christian County high powered offense to get in rhythm. The BG D, especially the DLine were disruptive early and often forcing multiple punts for County when they needed offense.

 

The Colonels have excellent skill guys but most go both ways and I though they got gassed tonight as anyone would in this type heat.

 

In 2 varsity games, BGs varsity players have played 5 quarters and their JV players have played 3 varsity quarters. Great experience for the young Purples.

I've been telling people the same thing. X is the only one that will keep it under, and I think they'll still win that one by at least 3 TDs. The road trip to McCracken could maybe not be a running clock as well. But this Bowling Green team is ridiculously good. Gotta step it up though - three whole quarters of regular time before getting the running clock? For shame.

Run Clark Paynes numbers for me. The kid has a remarkable start (only 5 quarters of play thus far)

I don't know what Payne had in the third quarter, but he has 496 yards and 6 TDs in the first halves so far this year.

I think Payne went 20-28 tonight. After the next 2 games, he will pretty much only play in 2 quarters each night. His percentage of completion will be a near record.

That's amazing! I watched CHRISTIAN County last week, they looked really good.

Bowling Green is scary good. I can't wait to catch the updates next week against St. X.

Boy it's fun for the BG fans, sounds like they really appreciate what a special team they're getting to see.

In 2 games, BG has not yet had to punt the ball. Im predicting 5 punts or less for the starting offensive unit throughout regular season.
