Tilghman probably isn't the #9 team in Class 3A, but their late Sunday afternoon start is the biggest reason. Central, Boyle, and Caldwell all played a little musical chairs this week, with Central getting the bump to 4 because they had the "best loss." Below the top three in Class 3A it just seems really wide open right now, and there are five others that might have a claim at that #10 spot.

Bardstown has a solid win in 3A.

Game of the week. Central vs. Corbin. All eyes will be on this game.

Waggener/Knox Central could be a fun one.

I'm betting Coach David Clark is secretly happy his bunch didn't move into the Top 10. Gives Bardstown an extra couple weeks to use the disrespect card since they have a bye this week.

 

They definitely look like a Top-10 team from the eyeball test. Even if Spencer Co. is more down this year than we initially though. Bardstown dominated that game from start to finish.

The Tigers looked ultra explosive and aggressive Friday night. Dropped two gimme TD passes or it would have been a total rout. Still defensive questions, but overall pretty impressive. I'll wait until after the E-town game.

I'm going to go out on a very long limb and say Bardstown is 5-0 by the time they go to Waggener for a critical 3AD3 game Sept. 30. That figures to be one of the biggest games in 3A that week, if not the biggest. Both teams should be in the upper echelons of the Top 10 by that point.
