And so it goes....sadly read article in this mornings Herald where Eastern Kentucky University is considering dropping (or seriously changing) Journalism as a major. Guess that just about confirms the future viability of the newspaper industry. I am a sad buckaroo!

It's not only the LHL and other newspapers slacking on High School football coverage. The Local tv news outlets aren't covering the Friday night highlights nearly as thoroughly as in the past. I can remember coming home after the games getting situated and turning on the news waiting for the sports coverage. It was a solid 25-30 minutes of highlights and brief interviews on each station. 18, 27 & 36 I flipped back and forth between constantly trying to catch all the games they covered. Now it's about 10 minutes showing just a handful of games and a list of scores. Thank goodness for BGP or I wouldn't have much of a clue what happened anywhere except for the game I was at in person.
