Can catholic even play for a title this year without playing 10 games?

Sure, Trinity only played 9 regular season games in 01' after Male backed out at the last minute. Thats OK, the Rocks got to play them in the final week instead of week one...45-19 Rocks for state title #13.

Theoretically, the only games a team is required to play are their district games.

Not entirely true. Ask Highlands, they had to forfiet their entire seasons wins plus all four games to get to the title game and still were crown state champs by the KHSAA. The KHSAA sure does hand down its sanctions in a crazy way. What does fining Lex. Cath. 30,000 dollars and making them forfeit one game teach them? Absolutely nothing, thats the problem if you ask me.

My comment was that a team is only required to play its district games, not a full 10-game schedule. Your comment has nothing to do with that point.

If you really want the answer to that question make a call to the khsaa. I'm sure mr. tackett would have no problem explaining it.

From the KHSAA Directory's football tournament rules:

Rule IV: To be eligible to compete in postseason competition, a member school team shall have competed in games against all teams in a district during the regular season.

That sloves it.

He tlod you he kenw the asnewr.

I really have to agree with the spot were Johnson Central is at... until JC get some big wins this season, that is probably were JC will stay at.

Don't hold your breath to long....JC is on the way.

With all of the talk JC fans have been doing (myself included) I sure hope you are right. This is still a relatively young team. That would be a mighty big mouthful of crow to have to swallow.

Well i agree with you. I think some are jumping way ahead of themselves after a very solid win but not a defining one. I for one think that JC can be very good but JC needs to prove it week by week and believe me assuming as some of the followers of JC seem to be doing will get you in a whole hep of trouble. I say let the play of the field do the talking cause it always seems to go farther than words.

Since you know so much about that program why don't you tell us exactly what happened and what you would do to them or do you just go on hearsay?
