Jesse James Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Varsity played 3 quarters, JV the 4th. I left at the end of three. Wayne led 7-6 end of first quarter. Pulaski led 13-10 at the half. Wayne led 36-26 end of three.
Jumper_Dad Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Thanks...how did either team look? What were they good at and what do they need to work on?
Jesse James Posted August 12, 2016 Author Posted August 12, 2016 Both teams are solid. The WR receiver from Pulaski is the real deal, Johnson. The QB, dont know his name but number was 11 is not bad. Good arm. Line was good. Wayne could not get anything going on the ground in the first half. Wayne's line was in question coming into this game but looked way better than I think some would have thought. Wayne has really bulked up and gotten bigger since last year. Aubrey Weaver (1) Stetson Simpson (11) and the QB Lorenzo Lindsey (3) all looked way bigger and all were great tonight. Wayne will make a big run in 4A this year.
Purple88 Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 @Jumper_Dad do you know who Pulaski's QB is this year? Just curious who was stepping into the cavernous shoes left by the graduation of Riley Hall.
ky playmaker Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 freshman Wiley cain is no. 11 I think. His dad Johnny was QB at somerset back in the late 80's early 90's.
Maroon Fan Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Just a few stats for PC I got from Mike Kerr of MVPSportsChannel.com.. Cain was 25-36 for 373yds 3TD 1INT. Jake Johnson had 17 Catches for 308yds and 2TD. That kid is just ridiculous! Cain looked really good for it being his 1st varsity start. There is a lot of work to be done but, I'm sure PC will be ecstatic if he produces numbers like that all year. Wayne County is going to win a lot of football games! Coach Thompson has built a program Cardinal fans can be proud of. WC QB had several long runs on the option, as well as a strong arm. I was impressed with him. The best thing to happen last night was everyone came out of the scrimmage injury-free.

Purple88 Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Looks like Pulaski is going the put em in young and let em go route again. Worked well last time. Does Jake Johnson have any college scholarship offers?
cwc12th Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 what about RB Conwell being out with an injury? How did that or is that going to affect PC? I think PC also had another out with injury?

Does Jake Johnson have any college scholarship offers? I dont think he has anything major yet Morehead State and Campbell and then NAIA Schools so far Someone is going to get a steal with this kid. Definitely think he could play at the FCS Level and be a big time slot receiver for someone.
