Votto now 4-5 on the night so far has raised his batting average to .301. Votto is hitting .380 since June, and .490 since the All Star Break with an OBP over .550

Is that good? Asking for a guy dressed like a bear.

One of the top 5 hitters in the game. Contrary to what some on here say.

Busy for the weekend and can't believe no discussion of Price bringing in Lorenzen with a 7-0 lead on FRI. I was watching in FF without commentary but I presume since they had already decided Bailey was coming out after the 6th that Lorenzen was already warmed up before the Reds played add-on in the top of the 7th? If so, no big complaint there. He pitched a quick inning with low pitch count and Price got him out after that.

Would have preferred Iglesias not have to close it out, but can't complain about securing the win. Worked out as neither was needed last night.

Since all are available today, if there is a true pressure save situation, who gets the call? Matchups might matter but I'd like to see Cingrani get back in the saddle to see how he responds.

Votto - repeating last year's post AllStar performance. Just digging out of a bigger hole.

Cozart - hope this is a slight slump and we don't find he was at his peak at the AllStar break.

Reds has to be the worst base running team in Baseball. Makes two outs on the bases in the first inning. Billy rounds third to way and gets in a pickle and then Vitto gets picked off second. Also, does Cozart strikeout every trip to the plate? Terrible!!!!

Cody Reed throwing fastballs right down the middle again. Already gave up two runs and don't have an out.

Cody is probably shell shocked from that terrible base running in the first inning.

If Phillips can not run no faster than that to first, he should be on the DL. I promise you Renda will run hard. That's the difference on who has made his money and who has not.

Reds down 7 to 3, but Votto is 2 for 4 with 3 rbi, a double and a homer.

Cingrani comes in in the eighth and has trouble throwing strikes and gives up a walk and and single. That's why he is not the closer!!!

I didn't see what happened, but you gotta live with stuff like that from Billy. He's continently pushing and pushing.

What's the problem with Reed? Can he not throw the pitches called or is he so much a prima donna that he thinks his fastball will get by MLB hitters. THAT light bulb should have gone on a while back after previous shellings or is he still that stubborn? His pitch location is also inconsistent, and yes I know he's young. Of course it's probably all the above.

Not this play, ground ball to pitcher , Billy goes to third, round base to far and they throw behind him. Just Baseball 101, don't round bases to far. It is taught in little league.

To me Billy has free reign to do anything he wants on the bases at any time, take all the chances he wants, doesn't bother me at all. When you do things like that, every one on a while the other team makes a mistake, bad throw ,etc. They're 25 games out, if he gets a single, let him steal second, third and home
