HammerTime Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Adrian Wojnarowski @WojVerticalNBA Sources on @TheVertical: Russell Westbrook, Thunder reach agreement on three-year, $85M-plus contract renegotiation. Pretty huge for the Thunder. They were on the verge of blowing that entire team apart.
SnottieDrippen Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Really happy for Russ and OKC fans. Also for the blogger/journalist/insider that broke the story before Woj. Good way to propel a career.

I know it happened last night and didn't fell like searching through 100 tweets to figure out who it was. Can you post the twitter account?
sweet16 Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 They could still trade him. Makes him even more enticing to trade for.
HammerTime Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 They could still trade him. Makes him even more enticing to trade for. No reason to do that now.
sweet16 Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 No reason to do that now. More than likely true but teams would be willing to trade a lot more if they know they could get him for more than one year.
HammerTime Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 More than likely true but teams would be willing to trade a lot more if they know they could get him for more than one year. True, but it's extremely difficult to get value on a player like that.
sweet16 Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 True, but it's extremely difficult to get value on a player like that. Definitely.
NEERFAN Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 I'm happy for the fans in OKC. I could see a Westbrook/Griffin combo soon.

That allows him to be THE guy ahead of IT and Horford. In LA, he's the best player on the team but they act like he's just a piece to set screens for CP3. (Only slightly exaggerating) Plus, Boston has the assets.
PurplePride92 Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 I'm glad I professed my love for Russ years ago. I see a lot of new Russ fans in the near future. The shade he is throwing at KD right now is the greatest thing going right now. :lol2: :lol2:

If he isn't willing to do a sign and trade how willing will the Celts be to deal those assets?
SnottieDrippen Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 If he isn't willing to do a sign and trade how willing will the Celts be to deal those assets? About as willing as they were with Russ.
PurplePride92 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Love this cat!!!!! Erik Horne on Twitter: "Westbrook on Durant's comments this week: "That's cute. We're gonna worry about all the selfish guys we've got over here, apparently." https://t.co/FLjzjAZgla"
