I know Mason used to hold more but they changed the bleachers in the lower section and lowered the seating capacity.

 

And also new state rule on how much room a person needs. It was something like each person got 16 inches of room now required 20. Not for sure on numbers

That 4" change could really alter the capacity numbers...that could be why there are discrepancies.
