I get about one a week. Wife is seriously contemplating changing her number she gets so many. Like 5-6 a day recently.

Also, if it is a robocall you can hit either the number two or the number nine and it will automatically put you on their Do Not Call list. I do that a lot on robocalls that come in on the landline.

July 25, 201610 yr Wow. I don't blame her for considering changing her number. I assume you can register a cell phone on the Do Not Call list can't you? I never had any problems until a family member put my # on the no-call list...then I started getting unwanted calls.

July 25, 201610 yr To answer the question, I answer my phone almost every time. I'd say probably 90% of the time, unless I'm out & about or in the middle of a conversation & receive a call from an unknown number. I'd rather take the call from the telemarketer & hang up then let it ring, go to voicemail, etc.

July 25, 201610 yr I can't find my phone most days after I get home from work, so I answer almost never, unless it's one of my kids or the boss. I had a close family member that was incarcerated a few years back and when he would call the number would come up on my phone as "Restricted"....now, if I ever get one of those calls, it goes directly to my gut....but I ALWAYS answer those still, almost immediately.

July 25, 201610 yr Texting certainly has its value. However, if it takes more than 3 text messages to complete the conversation it would have been better to do a phone call. On my cell phone, I have received less than a half dozen sales type calls. I prefer the documentation of a text message
