Here is what I think would be interesting. Let's list the top 20 players in middle school. Then let's check back on this thread when they are seniors and see how many ended up being a starter on varsity, how many become all star team members in their local area, how many became good enough to play college football and then how many aren't even playing football their senior year.

Yes, this is a serious thread. I was born in Chicago and I have seen the best and have played the best, and this kid has what it takes to be one of the best in Kentucky. Theres not a lot of good players in Kentucky. Basketball is weak in Kentucky.

 

Why put all this pressure attention on this kid when he is just in MS? The scrutiny he will get is not worth it. Wait until he is at least starting varsity before proclaiming he is the best.

I remember when I was an elite grower, my height for my age was above 99% of all others. Then I quit growing and became average height.

 

I still think about all of those dreams I had of one day being 6'4 or 6'5.

 

Here's to hoping this young man reaches his dreams and full potential, whatever they are.... In whatever HE CHOOSES.

This is exactly the point. You can't tell who is the best until everyone stops developing. You have to wait until high school and sometimes college to determine the best.
