June 28, 201610 yr You got to remember much of the Reds fanbase did not attend this weekend and did not spend a dime but got to see their favorite players and all the ceremonies for free. So how is that a bad thing? I know people that went this weekend and enjoyed it. I'm sure they spent some money but it was their choice. Some people went to Kings Island, some went Riverbend, some went to the movies............they all spent money too but they all did not mind.
June 28, 201610 yr I don't have a problem with it. If you have to manufacture sell-outs then this is the way to do it in Cincinnati. These guys aren't going to be around forever and it's always a positive to see them in the ball park.

The wife (I grew up in Baltimore) lived and died with the BRM and while she's kinda sad to see them showing their age ("Davey is completely white-headed!"), she still likes seeing them and recalling their salad days. PS - she still hasn't forgiven me for 1970. Like I had anything to do with it.
June 28, 201610 yr And the "no fun guy" strikes again. I believe this is a hot topic for the Bengals, because they do nothing to celebrate the past. I didn't even know it was an issue, fans seem to really enjoy it. People forget pro sports is a business. Like they think these owners should just give them the team and not look to make any money. It's funny.
