Put me in the group that has no problem with the batter's reaction as he was going down the first base line. I would feel a little differently if it wasn't a walk-off HR.

I've got no problem with his initial celebration but I would have one with his antics coming down third base line

Nice of the catcher to apparently spit on the kid as he's approaching home plate. That's classy.

How was it a walk off HR, score says 3 to 9, at max the score was 3 to 5 before the HR right?

As a former catcher, I probably would have made sure he didnt make it to home plate. But I was known as a rough player too so....

I didn't mind the bat flip, it was towards his own bench. Not sure if words were exchanged near home when the clown spit on him. The jig was not to my liking but he and his whole team were pretty pumped after that grand salami put the game out of reach!

and I wouldn't take offense if he got dusted on his next AB

League game, plus we don't know how much jawing was going on at the plate or what kind of chatter was coming from dugouts. Some catchers "talk" a lot, some batters "talk" a lot...sooo. Good healthy ACC rivalry.

Yeah, the spitting was bush. He should have been getting his rear out to the mound and telling his pitcher he needed to locate his pitches better.

If I was pitching and the guy came up again, I would not toss at his head but I sure would crowd him big time. And if one got a little close, well. You have to try to show they're not getting to you, and I should know. Many many moons ago I was pitching against Dixie, I threw at a guy a little high and was immediately tossed, no warning, and my coach was tossed as well. Did a TON of running the next week.

I didn't pay attention to the finer details. Do whole teams usually leave the dugout in the middle of a game to corral around the plate after a HR?

when I played in college we'd stand outside the dirt, in our side and then congratulate but never surrounded it in that manner. My guess is Miami was doing it for a reason.

Oh gotcha. I don't really watch college baseball, that's why I thought it was a walk-off the way that they were celebrating.
