Yep the Birds let one slip away. Some timely hits and a couple miscues in the field cost them. Can't let up on any innings against this level of competition. Great to still be playing though. Get the pleasure of playing McCrackin next. Flush it and move on. Go Birds.

 

I must say, at least they drug the fields today. Yesterday's conditions were terrible. Felt like we were playing in the Valley again. For anyone that's ever been here, you know what I mean.

This bothers me to no end. If these girls have played all season and worked their butts they deserve to play on high quality fields. If the KHSAA can't figure this out then shame on them. How is it the boys play on a minor league field and the girls get the shaft? In my opinion, make a single elimination tournament and play it at Louisville or UK. The girls deserve it just as the boys do. Growing up in Texas our state tournament was single elimination, the state tourney doesn't need to be double elimination. And now the state game(s) are played at the University of Texas.

 

Show some respect for the girls KHSAA. Sorry for the rant but just ticks me off.
