June 7, 201610 yr Author I have no problem with the officer being charged, but the severity (or lack thereof) of the charges brought against the officer make me question the charges and sentences handed down to others convicted of intentionally killing a K-9 officer. 17-year-old boy has been sentenced to 23 years behind bars for fatally shooting a retired police dog during a burglary Man sentenced to 20 years for killing police dog

They sometimes don't get charged for the accident but would be charged if they shoot the baby.
