June 3, 201610 yr I don't feel like last night was a defensive problem for the Cavs. The gave up 104 , they can beat GS giving up that many. The problem lies on the offensive side of the ball where GS is musher quicker more athletic and longer. JR smith was a non factor because Clay Thompson shut him down. They need to figure out something on offense and if James keeps settling for jumpers with Iggy on him then the series is over.

I'd say that is a defensive problem. The fact of the matter is Cleveland just doesn't match up with Golden State. I'd argue GS is better at every position except one. That includes the benches, obviously.

But Steph and Klay weren't just off , Cleveland did a good job guarding those two. Steph forced shots early out of frustration . I want the Cavs to get swept. But last night their defense did enough to win. If steph and Klay both have bad games that is a must win for the Cavs. The offense let them down and a lack of a coherent strategy. The fact that Lue didn't play Mosgov last round after seeing the success OKC bugs were having and preparing for the finals is a joke. Not to mention Mosgov played well in the Finals last year. I stand by the fact the hiring of Lue was a bad hire even more so if the lose this series.

That's across all levels. Even though Golden State is one of the best teams I've seen assembled of parts that aren't as good as the whole, the presence of capable big men and the size and speed of Durant made OKC a matchup nightmare for the smaller Warriors and it showed. The Warriors don't face that same matchup problem with Cavs. Cleveland is going to have to come up with something different and they're going to have to do it quickly because the individual matchup of styles and personnel favors the Warriors, just as it did last year.
June 5, 201610 yr Even without copious points scored, Steph and Klay were a major factor in this game because of the attention the Cavs paid to them. Strength in Numbers kicked in and the others got the job done. Very complete team in all aspects.
