Let me rephrase....They claim voting third party is just like taking away a vote from Republican candidates.

 

Which party has a large amount of party leaders that do not support their chosen candidate? Many hardcore conservatives will not vote Republican this time because of Trump (or at least that's what we're led to believe). Many will not vote, but some will move to a 3rd party. When/if Bernie is out of the race, maybe their will be some equality in who the new 3rd party votes are.

People keep throwing out the claim that those who vote 3rd party would otherwise vote Republican. Can someone please show me any type of support or backup for that claim? I don't think it's accurate, but I'd like to see support before I dismiss it entirely.

 

I'll also add this. If neither the R or D candidate shares my beliefs or views, why would I care which one wins? Either way, I lose.

Im with you on this, they need to get out and be heard. If it wasnt for @UKMustangFan's love fest with this Johnson guy, I wouldnt know a darn thing about him or that he exist.

Like I've said over and over if the election were today I'd vote Gary Johnson. But I'm not ruling out Trump, my disdain for Hillary trumps (pun intended) almost everything. If Trump has a legit shot come the fall I could be swayed since I live in Ohio a key state.

This question is coming from someone who has yet to find anything he even tolerates about Hilary outside of her blind resume and cannot stand to even watch her on tv, yet even more so feels like he has yet to hear Donald Trump state just about anything he agrees with.

 

Judging from your previous posts you seem to enjoy economics and have strong, consistent opinions. Is there anything in his fiscal policy that leads you to the possibility of Trump or is it nothing more than despising Hilary? I ask because his talk of raising tariffs and essentially being entirely anti-free trade is completely contrary to a free market philosophy. For me, I don't necessarily know what is worse, probably an increase in taxes and spending under Hilary or the isolationist strategy of the Donald. I guess for me it is the devil you know, but I'm curious for your thoughts.

As far as the topic, I'm with @Getslow. No one knows these parties if they only pop up like boil every 4 years. If these 3rd parties want to stay around get some roots, Get in Congress, sway some politicians to their side. The Tea Party plan to just takeover the GOP isn't an effective way to establish a 3rd party.

Nothing Donald has says excites me. Also I know he can't raise tariffs without congressional support , which he won't have. Hillary will have Democrat support for her agenda. Hillary scares me more than any politician in my life. She is the definition of corruption and lies.

 

Trust me in my perfect world we would run everything by the bible of Friedman. Libertarian party is where I should be but they have no organzation or structure. I truly believe the Libertarian message is where a majority of American would agree with.

 

The thing that bugs me most about the two party system is how people on both sides of aisle feel the need to agree with everything their party says. Neither Democrats or Republicans have a core philosophy. Libertarians do and it's simple keep government out of your life.

 

 

It's why the transgender debate is so simple if a business wants to allow transgender bathrooms I'm cool with it let the market decide. I just don't like the government chiming in tell people what they habe to do.

You said lily white.. All Republicans aren't lily white. You are way off base. My conscious isn't lily white, it's cultivated from pretty broad life experiences. Most of my friends are democrats. That's the point. The fact is most voters are uninformed and do no research on who they are voting for, just follow the herd mentality. That goes for both wings on the bird.
