Old Vet, I like some of the picks that you have made. Everyone please understand, first I'm not from Rowan County. Second, Oh how we all soon forget who Led the Runner-up State Champion Lady Royals at the half and into the 3rd Quarter of the Region Final with not even a 10th of the talent at that time. Now, Rowan loses nothing but gains what they were missing in size inside and an atheletic guard and please someone tell me why they shouldn't be preseason #1??? Think on this one before replying...it is tough to not want your own team to be #1 but facts are facts and we all have seen what A TROY LEE THOMAS led team is capable of.

 

They may very well end up being the best in the region this season but people will take a wait & see attitude on the additions...They played in the finals last year but they WERE NOT the 2nd best team in the region...They were probably top 5 by the end of the year because of all the injuries to players on other teams...As stated above, they got on a roll & played a injury riddled West Carter team to make the final...The best 2 teams from last year played in the semi's of the other bracket...

 

Pre-season ratings mean NOTHING but I will say that they should be right there at the end of the year if these additions pan out as the Rowan faithful hope they do...

Actually, my argument was that Rowan County has the toughest schedule in the 16th region for next season. Can you prove that statement to be incorrect?

 

After I made that statement, your first sentence was "Does anyone want to bet how many of those games that Rowan will win..." I think that is what started the fiasco.

Well, Wireman, I must admit that I nurtured the fiasco. I will say that, from what has been reported to date, Rowan County appears to have a demanding schedule.
