I also want to add that the Rendlesham Forest incident - a series of reported sightings by military officers of unexplained lights and the alleged landing of one or more craft in Suffolk in late December 1980, is essentially Britain's Roswell only in this case the evidence is much much more compelling and there are several expert witnesses on two separate occasions.

 

Rendlesham is one of my favorite cases. There were so many credible eye witnesses and many of them saw things they will never understand. My favorite part of the entire sighting is when Bouroughs touched the craft and was transmitted an encoded message. He wrote the binary sequence down and it was eventually interpreted by someone who could translate the info. I forget the exact message but something to the effect of, "for the exploration of mankind" or something like that and then gave coordinates to a location many point to as Hy Brasil, a mythical land like Atlantis which vanished off the coast of Ireland.

 

That whole 2-3 day encounter was very bizarre and many credible people had testimony of the incident. I also love the audio recording of the commanding officer who recorded his experience as it happened.

They were truly world changing, phenomenal encounters but I don't now that I buy the encoded message stuff. I have watched a couple of documentaries on it. Now I am glad they are telling the whole truth and it is certainly possible but I would hate for that part of one of the encounters to take away from the significance of a bunch real important military guys offering first hand, eyewitness testimony about their UFO encounters.

1.) It doesn't have to be. My personal opinion is that many of the unidentified objects we see in the skies now are human craft that we have developed here on earth. However, I do believe they were able to reverse engineer this technology from knowledge outside this planet.

 

2.) There have been some really good TV shows document the case. The former SYFY series Paranormal Witness did an excellent one on the incident. Many other TV UFO shows have portrayed Rendelsham as well with commentary and testimony from the witness'. I'm sure there are other documentaries and youtube videos as well I will have to find some.

On #1 I have said it here before and to echo dolamite UFO means unidentified, not alien. Most sightings/cases have logical explanations but even government officials will tell you that in a small percentage of cases even the government can't explain it (and if I may add to it) aliens intelligence may be the best bet going for many of those sightings.

 

On #2 Unsealed Alien Files - may be on Netflix - has a quick review of it but I just watched an episode of UFOs: The Untold Stories on Destination that was excellent. It will make you a believer. The series is new, you should set your DVR up to record them all.

And tbg, the episode you want to watch on Unsealed Alien Files is called the British X-Files. Nick Pope does most of it and he is the bomb.com and former MoD UFO investigator. He most certainly believes, it is his life's work now. Think about it, the guy the British Government put in charge of UFO investigations is now one of the World's leading UFO believers.

And to Ru's point, that Unsealed show is very good. There is just one called Unsealed: Conspiracy files, and then another Unsealed: Alien Files. Both are very good, brief but informative and thought provoking.

In my opinion Alien Files is better but I like them both. I posted on Conspiracy Files in the past. And a fun fact, the guy that narrates Conspiracy Files is a friend of mine. Small world...
