Red Sox are calling up #1 overall prospect Yoan Moncada today.

Should be interesting to see what other top prospects get the call with the rosters expanded.

Sounds like he's going to be playing mostly 3rd base.

No Garrett?

In the starting lineup tonight.

Stephenson starting Monday.

Reds called up more today but no Garrett. Is this kid not going to get a taste of the show this year.

Reds signing another young Cuban pitcher in 20 year old Vladamir Guitterez.

Cardinals have hit a HR in 25 straight games. I'm pretty sure that ties a NL record.

Cardinals have hit 15 pinch hit HRs this year the most in MLB history.

Brian Dozier hit HR #39 tonight for the Twins.

It was the 500th HR hit by a 2nd baseman this year, which is the 1st time that has ever happened (previous high was 477 in 2009).

There are 9 2nd basemen with 20+ HR:

Dozier

Cano

Odor

Kinsler

Walker

Kinsler

Schoop

Daniel Murphy

Altuve

Left Fielders have only hit 497 -- 2nd basemen have never hit more HR's than 2nd basemen.

Of Dozier's 39 HR's, only one (1) was to opposite field.

They've already said he's not. He's thrown 140+ innings already this year. There is no reason to bring him up at this point. You've gotta remember, he just started playing baseball full-time 2 years ago.

Dude had 14 HRs at the break. His 25 since the break are the 3rd most in that amount of games after the break in history. Only McGwire and Sosa back during their steroid days hit more.

Elite Braves prospect (#4 overall) Dansby Swanson hit his 1st ML HR last night. It was of the inside-the-park variety.
