Looking at the active wins leaders, it doesn't look like it. I guess I didn't appreciate how special that was when it was happening a lot in the early to mid 2000's. Look at a young stud like Gerrit Cole. He's 25 and would not only need to be healthy until 38 but would need to average 20 wins a year for 13 years...

NO Feel free to add others, and if you think we'll see any of these achieved again, who will it be (if active)? 20 wins seasons being as rare as they are today, I don't see a 300 game winner on the horizon. .400 is hard but it's not impossible, I think some one will do it 100 SB, yeah there will be some hot shot that is crazy fast and can actually get on base break 100 at some point. (Looking at you Billy Hamilton) 60 HR, I feel this has the best chance of happening and sooner than any of the others. 191 RBI, only 2 modern hitters (Manny and Sosa) have even broken 160...this record is safe 4,000 Hits, no just because no one is going to play long enough to get there. That said, Miguel Cabrera at 33 years old would need to average 170 hits per season until he's 43 to get to 4,000. He is currently averaging 195 per season for his career.

He also holds the ML record for most triples in a career (309). Wahoo Sam played for the Reds & Tigers from 1899 to 1917. How many of those triples did you watch live @mcpapa? Kershaw has a shot at 300 wins, as he's got 117 and just turned 28. If he can get to about 175 by the end of his age 30 season, I think it can be done. No way we ever see a .400 hitter or a guy break the RBI record though IMO.

My quick analysis: He is currently 33 but signed to play through 2023 (another 7 seasons). Currently, he has 2,359 hits (1,641 to reach 4K). His "162 game average" is 195 hits. By my calculations, that means he needs another 8 1/2 seasons (including this season) to reach 4K. So, if he plays out his entire contract at the same level, he might have a shot.
