This is a tough one between an A and an A- but I am going to go with A- based on the in season loss to Paintsville.

 

No shame in losing to 3A Super Power Belfry but if you want an A+ you can't get wiped out by anyone.

 

The Panthers had a strong showing in the State Championship game manhandling Beechwood in the 2nd half.

First meeting with Paintsville is a good loss to a HEALTHY team and it was before the QB change.

Solid A

 

The valedictorian of a graduating class of 65 Students. They took a course through the local community college and found they weren't quite ready (Belfry), but they also stuck their nose to the grindstone and worked their tails off to be the smalltown kid who got a full academic ride to a nice school.

I give them an A

I think I would give the Panthers a solid A as well. They did stumble twice in the regular season. However, what many people don't know is they were not 100% healthy in the first Paintsville contest (no excuse ) but fact. Also, how many football teams go into Belfry and come out victorious, and a single A team at that? They met the goal that was set in early 2015, and that is the single A trophy. Solid A.

I don't agree with the comment that they manhandled Beechwood in the second half. The score was tied at 21 with 9 minutes to go in the game. It was still a 7 point lead for Pikeville with 4 minutes left. Yes, it was lopsided from that point on.
