I've been a Trinity fan since day 1 and you know it. I've seen up close and personal how inept SK has been when playing them. Now instead of emulating your idol Dodgem Marksberry how about answering the question.

0 The last time 3 times they have played SK didn't have a team that could compete with T plus kids playing both ways. But now SK has been platooning for several years. SK could give Trinity a game now if they ever meet again in the playoffs. SK has depth to go toe to toe with the Rocks! Guarantee that!

You have to be honest.....last year SK likely would not have been able to go toe to toe with Trinity. The Rocks hung 70 on Lafayette last season and Lafayette beat SK by two scores. And really, there probably hasn't been year in the past, where if they had played that it would have been close. I'm not saying that it's going to be like that forever, but despite a couple close scrimmages doesn't prove that they are on that level yet. And that doesn't mean SK doesn't have a nice program, but I don't think they've improved that much over this off season to say that they will be on that level this coming season. I wouldn't be mad if they prove me wrong though.

The Rocks hanging 70 on the Generals has a lot to do with the fact that they were not playing their 2 5* athletes and a third D1 player on defense during the regular season. See the Scott Co regular and post season scores as examples. Lafeyette also played Male much closer in the title game.

My post and this thread is about SK and their ability to compete against Trinity. I only mentioned Lafayette as a common opponent....there was no intent to discuss where Lafayette ranks, or their status among the top programs. Their progress from the beginning of the season to the end isn't relevant to or an important part of this discussion.

This thread is about the SK 2016 schedule and if you did not want the Layfeyette comparison brought up you should not have used it in your post.

There is a reason Male ended up ranked in the top ten in the country last year. There was no one in the state of Ky beating them last year not Lafeyette not Trinity and not SK.

 

Trinity was close by the time of the playoffs. The final score was 20-19 with Trinity missing that extra point in the final seconds of the game. Not playing the 'coulda' game, but that shows how Male wasn't on another level compared to Trinity last year.
