It's plausible but I don't think it's true. It could be a Lyanna and Robert type thing. It could fit and that could be the hidden meaning behind Robert's Rebellion.

That "hair of black" Ned droned on about in Season One would be the only connection apart from some speculation. Would make for some interesting theorizing as a future marriage between the Baratheons, Jon. and the Targaryens, Danerys, could bring about peace on Westeros when all this is over.

Because Robert thought so highly of Lynna I have a feeling he would of legitimized Jon.

To my mind, the most interesting thing to come out of last night is that Cersei Lannister is about to let the entire army of the Tyrells into King's Landing. I can't imagine that the Queen of Thorns is going to spring her grandchildren out of captivity, disarm the High Sparrow and his followers, then just pack it up and say "We're done here! Back to Highgarden!" Unless that plot is foiled before it takes place, things could get very interesting in Kings Landing.

Definitely. I also suspect that Cersei has more planned here than what's been said. Everything she does is conniving and she's playing on Olenna Tyrell's emotions to get what she wanted.

That's true. I was just thinking during that scene "this seems too good to be true for the Tyrells." Cersei also has Zombie Mountain to fight at her trial, so she's completely off the hook now and only the Tyrells have major skin in the game.

 

I'm excited to see where it goes. The Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce is perfect) and the Faith are one of my favorite parts of the series.

I guess after last night they have officially confirmed Stannis being dead.

I was reading some fan reactions to last night's episode and someone made an interesting point re: the Tyrells. It's possible that Margaery or Loras know that Olenna killed Joffrey and could confess it. This would certainly change Cersei's calculus.

I didn't think of that but I don't see that happening. I do see Cersei and Jamies plan of working with the Tyrells to backfire in someway. No way things go through as planned.

I would be more worried if I were Olenna Tyrell. But, [spoilers]: There is a possibility that Cersei's trial by combat ends in disaster for her if the Faith's champion is a certain gravedigger.
