Rockies @ Reds (4/18 - 4/20)

I get it if it's to prevent him from reaching Super Two status, but other than that, there is no logical reason for Stephenson to not be on the 25 man roster at this point.

I think that's the main reason why Stephenson isn't on the 25 man roster, and I fully support it.

Not surprised. He's been awful every year he's been a Red.

He's terrible right now, no doubt, but this is just completely untrue.

This is his 5th season with the Reds. In 3 of them (2012, 2013, & 2015) he was much better than average. He was terrible in 2014.

He's above average when the game is out of hand one way or the other. He's awful when he has to protect a lead or hold a game where it is. He's just not good and probably wouldn't make a lot of other teams bullpens.

Once again not true. He had a great year last year getting the game to Chapman in the 9th. He gave up on 44 hits in 64 1/3 innings pitches. His walk ratio was too high, but he was very dependable out of the pen last year.

Spot on.

It appears facts are optional...

I think most are in agreement he's not best suited to be a closer, but to act like he's been terrible his entire career is untrue. He's certainly had his up and downs.

Looks like some great weather for a day game. Ya'll should head on down to GABP and find me, probably on the first base line.

I'll be there behind visitors dugout.

I was offered club tickets but had to decline. :idunno:

Wish I could. It's perfect weather for it.

Heard Price say today that he is concerned with Stephenson's balls to strikes ratio. He stated it was 50-50 and Stephenson needs to go to Louisville to improve that ratio.

There ya go. All BGP folks as soon as they enter the ball orchard should head down that way, find MJAlltheWay24 and buy at least one beer from him! Also, make sure he gets tipped well!!

He is just not a closer. That pitch in the 9th which was creamed out of center had NO movement. You want to root for the guy because as far as I know he's a good teammate, hasn't been in trouble, doesn't run his mouth, etc., but for whatever reason he's not getting it done right now. Maybe it's mental, I don't know.
