The Colonels end a three game slide on Chaz Gerdings game winning hit to the right field wall with two ducks on the pond...

Witnessed two solid pitching performances by Dixies Smallwood ( 14 Ks ) and Highlands Rom ( 3 Ks ). Dixie junior Wyatt Roe ( 4Ks ) came on late from the bump and helped the Colonels snatch the W from the throat of defeat.

Highlands 000 020 010

Dixie Heights 002 000 011

The birds were led by Bowden and Mayhew, each with 2 hits. Dixie Heights was led by seniors Zach Slusher with 2 hits and Keegan Barmore with 2 RBIs.

A good turn of events for Dixie who will host Moeller ( tomorrow ) and Lexcath ( Saturday ) :scared:...

It was a gorgeous night for baseball!!! :thumb:

I assume "Baudin" is really Bowden. Nice-looking athlete.

Most likely. Taken from nky.com.

Never heard Of Corcoran? I know Rom started for HHS..I am assuming Smallwood is Dixie's #1 starter?

How has Dixie only played 7 games?

Drew Rom went the first 8 giving up 3 unearned runs and Spencer Dee came on in the 9th and surrendered the winning run

Good to see Wyatt Roe's name pop up. Good kid that puts in the work in the off season. His summer team's coach really puts in the time with Wyatt, and I am sure Dixie's coaches do too.

And good to see Chaz Gerding having a nice season too. His dad is a Highlands grad, so i am sure it is sweet to get the game winning RBI against them.
