You have way too high of an opinion of yourself and your views.

I don't know about "too high", but yeah you're right, I agree with my sound thinking quite often.

:lol2: :lol2: Maybe your User Name should be MyOwnBiggestFan.

So because everyone presently hates my guts because I'm a radical pacifist, you're cool with the ever growing ignorance of humanity becoming such zombies to technology that we let the masses regularly mindlessly and dangerously disrupt pedestrian and automobile traffic because they're too damn dumb to pay attention?

Perhaps this article will help drive home the point.

Report finds growing dangers of distracted walking - CBS News

This is not even kinda sorta a problem. The voiceless social acceptance of this has helped this annoyance carry on far too long to the point that it's just considered normal because we're now so used to seeing it.

There's nothing normal about it as it is dumb as hell for people to do it, and even dumber that the general public would be OK with it.

If you have an issue with people using technology in Today's world, I suggest you just hole up in your home and not go outside.

It is remarkably stupid to waste time on legislation for something like this.

So you want to legislate what some may deem " not normal "behavior ?

That's quite an interesting stance he has on this, considering his views on other subjects that many deem "not normal behavior" as well...

I don't like legislation that trys to punish people before anything happens . If typing while walking causes a wreck charge that individual for reckless behavior. But 99.9% of people who text and walk lead to no incident.

The social behavior of it is way too rampant to be considered random. It's gotten out of control and somehow needs to be reeled in.

I don't know if fines are the answer, but we as a culture need to start discouraging it just like we have with cigarette smoking.

Though is was once done just about everywhere even with a doctor sitting at your bedside, society has dramatically changed their views on it to the point that smokers are made to do it in designated areas and are made to feel guilty for doing it around people who despise it.

The message that texting while walking in public is frowned upon needs to surface loudly with the hopes that one day it can effectively change from the nonsense we are now presently experiencing everyday all day.

Texting while walking in public is in absolutely no way the same as smoking. That is a reach of epic proportions.

Extremely shallow attempt at being logical. Spin that how you want guys, but at the end of the day it's just a pathetic and shallow "spin" and nothing more.

I didn't spin anything ? I quoted you?

Hey, if you're cool being a raging hypocrite that's fine with me. At least now everyone on here knows it.

I was wondering how a thread on this reached two pages and now I know....

It is a waste of resources to worry about. It is not a major issue at all. Doesn't even reside in the same universe as smoking.

Shallow and misguided. No sense of logic, but feel contented that you'll have a plethora of sophomoric audience members with the mentality of 14 year olds high five you.

Do you see any merit in discouraging and fining J-Walking?

Yeah, since ignoring the question posed to you and name calling people who disagree with you is so much more mature.

Please get off your high horse.
