Having been on with Dave a few times for his broadcasts, he is one of the G.O.A.T. when it comes to not only promoting the Bishop Brossart athletics but NKY athletics as a whole. One of the greatest guys you'll come across.

 

After Brossart was eliminated from District play this season, Dave showed up at Campbell County Middle School and broadcast the 37th District finals between Campbell County and Scott, including pre-game interviews with coaches Aric Russell and Brad Carr. CLASSY MOVE

Congratulations Schabs! Well deserved honor for a great man. One of the most honest, self-giving, caring people I have ever met. I have always said every program needs a Dave Schabell. He loves his Mustangs but will call a spade a spade. He just genuinely cares about the kids at Brossart. Congratulations my friend. You deserve it!!

I've known Dave from his time as the Freshman Coach at Brossart in 79-80. A time that we talk about on occasion. From that to being a mentor to me in getting Tri State Internet Sports up and running for 10 years. I'm glad to be able to call him a friend.

 

Congrats on your honor. Long time overdue. He is the Dean of Internet Broadcasting. Congrats again Dave.

Congrats Schabs--Very well deserved honor!! Dave is truly a man who gives his all to the Brossart Mustangs--To the kids, the coaches, the administration and the parents. Does so much behind the scenes, as well as being the biggest cheerleader for their programs.

 

As one who has been privileged to share his broadcast microphone a few times, as well as many long road trips (and backroad trips) around the ever growing 10th region with Schabs; let me say he's as dedicated as they come in promoting BBHS teams and high school sports in general.

 

A non-stop booster and tireless worker, whose primary goal is always to make the experience better for the kids, and the kids better for the experience!! A worthy recognition for a job well done!! :clap::clap:

Someone commented on Dave's efforts with CC Knothole, but I wanted to echo that point. He has a long history of making a difference in the lives of young people. Congratulations and thank you!
