Good game by the lady bulldogs! Kind of disappointment by the Holmes community, the lack of fans was sad! But good luck in the elite 8 - keep Rollin

Russell hung in better than I thought when they were down 21-8 right before half and then gave up 6 quick points after the half. Had a shot to make it interesting but Holmes played a smart conservative game.

 

Both teams only played 6 players basically.

Congrats to Holmes. I'll be pulling for the Lady Bulldogs to cut down the nets. I've always been a believer that if you're going to lose, you might as well lose to the eventual champs.

 

The Lady Devils had a great season and should hold their heads up high. They brought home the school's first regional championship since 1994 and defeated some great teams along the way. If they stay hungry and focused, bigger things might await this team next year.

 

It sounded like Holmes ate Russell up on the offensive glass in the first half. Russell did well to battle back from a 28-10 deficit and get within eight, but Holmes wouldn't let them get any closer.
