10th Region NEXT YEAR!

.....pretty much where they began this past season, except for some of the Campbell Co faithful, who obviously knew what they were talking about.

OH! My bad....just the weather. Did nothing but rain here from about 2:00 on. Game was actually canceled late last night.

Aha. That makes more sense. Running into the same thing here which in a sense I am happy for the little break.

Get behind your lady royals and ENCOURAGE them to do their best and let the chips fall where they may!

I'm a big MC fan and totally want them to win it. Just don't think it will be easy.

If u have followed the Mason Co boys program for the last three seasons. (Prior to Biggs arrival). You should have expected the same result from the Mason Girls team this season. Its a shame when jobs are awarded due to "politics" and not on prior coaching experience and track records, so to speak. I hope the Lady Royals rebound next season for sure. But, I would not put my money on anything except the same result next season.....under the current situation. It's a sad shame in my opinion these girls have to endure the same results as the boys team did. Embarrassing for the boys and I'm sure for the girls the way this season ended. But they have next season so hopefully they get another shot. Go Lady Royals!!

Wow, mcfarmer, last I heard Mason boys won the 10th Region, going to Rupp after upsetting #1, #2, and hottest team in region. Three great victories. The only embarrassment MC boys experienced were the agenda posters that didn't get their coach hired. Surprisingly the guy that didn't get hired is very okay with the decision.

Now for the girls, absolutely awesome season and they are all back. Go Royals!

Lady Royals go 27-4 with a young team. Three of four losses were to Sweet Sixteen teams, Campbell Co., Holmes and State Champion Butler. Lost in regionals to a good Scott team by one. Give me some of what that MC coach is serving.

I said PRIOR TO BIGGS ARRIVAL. Meaning NOT including this year. Biggs has done a great job and we are lucky to have him. I have always been a fan of his.

27-4 yes for the girls team. Yes. Ranked number 1 yes in the Region But so were the boys team of last year. And they we embarrassed three years running. PRIOR TO BIGSS ARRIVING. See any similarities with Boys team of last (three) year and Girls team of this year. I do. And you don't have to look far.

Wow, mcfarmer, brand new coach (27-4)that all season loses only three tough games to three regional champs and because their young team loses by 1 in Regional tournament the program is doomed. Blow it up! Conspiracy theories! Bad political hire!

Come on man. Give the kids and the program a chance. Mason fans expect a lot, but your cred comes into question when this season is viewed anyway but a great season and a building block for next year.

Distructive to use the word embarrassing when you talk about young people. Just because your choice for coach wasn't hired, the real Mason fan gets on board and celebrates a great year. If you want to doom next year, then let the team feel they are failures and an embarrassment, and by the way, maybe make wild political accussations about their coach's hiring.

I think it is safe to say that Mason will be the heavy favorites next year.

Just like when MC were "heavy favorites" this year and a few of us disagreed and felt Campbell would be at the top, so we will probably repeat that next year. Campbell loses a couple contributors but not the core players. New girls are ready to step up and fill roles. Campbell will reload and challenge MC (and Scott) for the title.

I think CC losing 3/5 of their starting line up, including their leading scorer, 5/8 Varsity only players loses a little more than a couple contributors. The new girls may be filling roles but next years team will only have 3 players with any significant Varsity experience. They still make the regional tournament but only because the rebuild at Brossart is a couple of years away and finishing second in District should be obtainable. CC would have to be considered a real dark horse to win next year against Mason, Scott and GRC.. all of whom return most of their starters. (Mason 5/5, Scott 4/5, GRC 4/5)

Campbell will certainly miss the seniors they lose this year as they were a huge part of the success the team had this year. Campbell does return their leading scorer, assist leader and leading rebounder for next season. They will some inexperience logging more minutes next year but Coach Menefee will have them where them prepared come tourney time. Scott loses 2 starters in Dant and Kallmeyer so they are returning 3 starters. You can't count Campbell out to still win their district and give anyone in the region a run for their money. Mason does however return the most starters as they did this year as well. GRC will bring back all but 1 starter so again I think the region will be anybody's game when the time comes.

Not the core players? Didn't they each score 1000 points?

Jolly, Clos and Kramer all got their 1000 points this year.

Clos returns. I was commenting on the quote of losing players that aren't considered core players
