March 6, 201610 yr This has been discussed before, I know. I think the conference champion should get one or the other. My preference is they get their ticket punched for the big dance. I could live with they get a by to the conference championship game. What say you?

March 6, 201610 yr In those smaller conferences where the auto bid really matters, I really like the ones that play the whole tournament at home sites. It means winning the league and getting all the games at home is a real advantage. The OVC is really feeling the pain. They just essentially had a regular season that meant nothing and an 18-17 team is going to the NCAA tournament. It is what it is.
March 6, 201610 yr They also get an automatic NIT berth That was a rule change I really like. At least some reward for playing the best basketball in their league for three months, even if they drop one in March.
