High School Slam

If you all can spread this around there is 2 hours left & Carson is down everyone plz got vote for him!

Owen 79, South 71 in a great game that goes down to the final :30, free throws make up the scoring margin at the end.

Looking forward to it tonight. Hoping to maybe meet MacktheKnife if that's possible as well. But we all might be packed in there like sardines

hoping Clyde and TB&G save me a seat. Ha

I usually sit in the horseshoe behind the basket. Room to maneuver up there. Lol.

I'll be there early. Don't make me have to fight a bunch of people saving you a seat.

I can't believe I'm about to say it, but I'm with the Oldie here. Owen by 8-10 feels right. That said, I watched SO make 24 threes earlier this year, so it could be the other way around.

Sounds like what a good student says years after learning from his teacher!

How big is the gym @ Henry county, never been there. I plan on getting there around 5.

Between 5,000 and 5,700 seats. Owen County's entire population will be here tonight. South Oldham will have a good following, but from what I have heard this morning some of the Dragon fans might not show up in force because they doubt they can defeat Owen County. I hope they reconsider an support South Oldham tonight!

I now can neither post, read, nor discuss Carson Williams and Owen County without having this sequence run through my head:

Think a high school Larry Bird. That's Carson Williams.

The real question is, "How early do the Owen County fans pack the ROY tonight?" I heard they had Gallatin's gym filled an hour before the game. Will Simon and Collins fans even get a seat. In addition, South fans arrive very early as well. Get your popcorn before you sit...it'll be packed tonight.

I arrived at GCHS for the district final Saturday at 7pm (7:30 tip), and the only available seats were up in the visiting side corner with the other six coaching staffs in the regional tournament. My understanding is that there was a line wrapped around the school for both nights OC played before they opened the doors, an hour before tip.

I doubt anyone will be turned away due to it being full, but if you want a decent seat, get there early or else you will be sitting in the upper endzone.

They opened the doors at 6:30 on Saturday. The line was well over a hundred deep.

I wouldn't do that. You tell me what time. I'm punctual if nothing else

I'll be in my green South Oldham hoodie. Fresh hair(s)cut.

Owen fans rolling in early.

Tied 2:53 2nd qtr
