Coaching changes in the 14th???

Featured Replies

Who got the best deal out of all the coaches that changed? and who will have the best team to do something with in the region?

Teams with new coaches are: Owsley (but just lost nealy), Jackson City, Hazard (don't know if Hicks is staying or not), Powell, Breathitt, Knott

Here is my picks for best possible teams for these new coaches:

1. Hazard, don't know Morris, but if all the kids stay, he has the most talent

2. Powell

3. Knott

4. Breathitt

5. Jackson City

6. Owsley

What are you talking about with Neely and Owsley, I have not anything different than he is playing at Owsley.

BEST DEAL POWELL CO AND COACH LIVELY

Professor posted on another thread he transferred to Owen County. I gotta believe it if Professor said it, especially if it concerns Owsley basketball.

You are correct.

Neeley has left Owsley County and has moved to Owen County.

Owsley will definitly miss Neeley. He was one of the top players in the 14th. Owsley will miss him in the 56th district agianst Powell and Lee.

Did anyone watch some summer games with the new coaches and see how they look, with or without player changes?

Coach Hall had his Tiger team playing hard and learning his system, they will be running which is good to see.

Owsley's Coach probably is just pulling his hair out now that Neeley has transferred.

Coach Lively had his team playing well. They are young and have been playing together for a little while. He will do a great job with them and people will have to look out for them, especially at home!

Coach Banks Breathitt team has a good team coming back. A good group that plays good togehter, that will win a lot of games in this region!

Coach Amburgey will have his boys running and gunning. They played a lot of games this summer and they all play well together. He has gotten some talent to work with, now he just needs to be let alone and figure out how to get all of them on the same page and happy!

Didn't see Coach Morris' Hazard team, but know the 3 players they have coming back will lead them to the All A again if they can sneak by JBS and have a good shot at beating PCC in the District!

Yeah, I was suprised to hear this about Neely as well, but I can't say that I blame him. And I totally agree with you that the best deal was Lively to Powell. Lively is a good coach but not only that Powell returns just about everyone of their players from last year, if not all of them.
