In the last 11 years, Coach Carr has led the Eagles to 10 out of the past 11 regional tournaments. That is incredible with how tough the 37th district has been over those years.

Believe the only year they missed was a few years ago when they lost in the 1st round of district to Campbell Co by 3 who went on to win region.

The 10 out of 11 achievement is one that doesn't get enough praise, considering the strength of those 3 teams in the 37th.

You also make a good point about the year they missed. Campbell County was 4 points away from not even making the Regional Tournament that year, and yet they end up winning the 10th. Talk about big doors swinging on small hinges.

It reminds me of something Mustang said to me after Scott beat Brossart by 1 in OT a few weeks back. He mentioned that if they could've hung on to win that game, they'd have the #1 seed, which basically would've assured them a spot in the Regional Tourney. Instead, Scott beats them and they have to rely on the draw. Then the draw favors Campbell County, leaving Brossart having to compete with Scott in the semis, and now this loss leaves them on the outside looking in for the Region.

It's crazy to think that just 2 more points in Brossart's favor could have changed, not just the 37th, but the 10th Region Tournament as a whole.

I've shared with some other folks something that is kind of bizarre to me about the 37th this year, but I've believed it to be true for a while now.

I think Brossart is a tough matchup for Campbell County because they have size to make life more complicated for Matt Wilson.

I think Scott is a tough matchup for Brossart because they have outstanding guard play, specifically Jake Ohmer.

I think Campbell County is a tough matchup for Scott, because the Eagles don't really have the size to contain Wilson.

I guess we'll see if that remains true on Friday night.

The two kids from Holy Cross who gaurded Wilson were 6'1" /175, and 6'2"/220. I think there is more to it than SIZE.... If he can't get the ball, he can't score.

I think there's a lot of truth to that. I've seen Campbell a handful of times this year, and they do sometimes struggle with their entry passes to Wilson, whether they're running a 4 around 1 or high-low. In the games I've watched, they eventually get it worked out, but it takes a while for them.

But I think my overall point is still valid. I thought Scott defended Wilson pretty well in their regular season game, but if he can get it on the block, they just don't have the size to contend with him.

The other reason Brossart is a tough matchup for Campbell is that Crawford has the kind of offensive game where he can force Wilson out of the paint defensively, which obviously opens things up for other players & diminishes Wilson's shot-blocking ability.

I would agree with all that you said here
