First Coach Smith leaves and now field problems. I am not saying that is fire but it sure is smoke. If I was a Boyle County fan I would be on red alert.

Yea I think you called it right......but we won't be on Red alert....we'll be on black and gold alert cause these REBELS will be smoking:D Come to think about it - perhaps Chuck left because of the field conditions.   Just joking everyone;)

Easy now Rebel, don't be counting them eggs to quickly!!!

You'll have to excuse Rebel, even as a child he was never one to leave the egg counting to the very end - even when he had a head full of curls:lol:

RebelK,

Laugh all you want but Boyle is a program under the microscope and let's just say small bumps in the road like this are interesting.

Was at the scrimmage tonight. Boyle has redone the field with Bermuda again. The bermuda takes a while to come in fully. It will be next year before it is real lush. The parts that were filled in were very green and looked fairly thick. This probably should have been done years ago, but it will be playable by Sept. E. Jessamine did the same thing two years ago and it was 05 before the field was really thick. It just takes bermuda longer. But when it does thicken up, it is the best natural surface, IMHO.

I actually take Boyle's program very serious and if I laugh it would never be at the football players. The players are near to my heart and have been for years. I would never want anyone to misunderstand my not understanding why they can't get the field playable as laughing at these players because nothing could be further from the truth. I just have a hard time understanding why these kids aren't afforded a field that I feel they are deserving of. Again, I, in no way, meant for any of my posts to be thought of as laughing at our players. Anyone who knows me knows that nothing could be further from the truth.

What did all the Boyle fans think about the scrimmage last night? Each team had 2 series before the storms hit. From what little I seen they are ahead of what I thought they would be. Josh Miler will be Boyle's workhorse this season, and scored both TD's for Boyle. Boyle also had some starters that I seen not dressed out for the scrimmage with injuries that will play big rolls this season. From what little I seen last night I must say that I am pleased, and look forward to the upcoming season.

Who did the Rebels scrimmage?

BTW, great Avatar. :thumb:

That must have been the only time you wore #10 and was pictured holding the football. Unless you were snapping it to the QB!

Boyle looked very good in limited action. The only way M. Central moved the ball was when they completed two passes, one for seven yards, and the other for eleven yards. They could not run on the Rebels.
