SHS Future Posted February 8, 2016 Share Posted February 8, 2016 12th Region Rankings for 2/8/16 1) Mercer County (24-1) - "And down goes Frazier!” The Titans suffer their first loss of the year against Lafayette 59-77. In the loss, Mercer struggled shooting averaging only 23% from 3 point range. Earlier in the week the Titans beat Pulaski County 69-58. In that game they shot 58% from behind the arch. This week the Titans hope to rebound from their only loss as they host Lincoln County, Woodford County, and play Cordia at Pulaski County. 2) Southwestern (19-3) - This past week the Warriors beat Lincoln County 67-59 and Owensboro 73-61. Steven Fitzgerald was named player of the game versus Owensboro in the Don Marshall Ram/ “E” Classic after he scored 26 points, had 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. This week the Warriors are on the road at Boyle County, Pulaski County, and play Perry County Central at Pulaski County. 3) Wayne County (15-8) - The Cardinals won the only game they had last week 88-45 over McCreary Central. Trey Blevins had 17 points, Corey Stearns scored 15, and Nick Gillespie added a double-double with 12 points/11 rebounds. This week the Cardinals host Somerset, West Jessamine and play Madison Central at Pulaski County. 4) West Jessamine (14-11) - The Colts had a good week last week winning all three games they played. They beat Boyle County 70-66, East Jessamine 87-61, and Garrard County 84-65. Isaiah Okesson was leading scorer in the Boyle County game putting up 26 points. The Colts are on the road this week traveling to Woodford County and Wayne County. 5) Pulaski County (15-9) - Last week the Maroons lost to Mercer County 58-69, beat Somerset 69-59, and beat Bell County 57-47. This week the Maroons play at home versus Danville, Southwestern, and Frankfort. 6) Lincoln County (15-9) - The Patriots split their games last week beating Madison Central 50-47 and Anderson County 72-71, but lost to Southwestern 59-67 and Garrard County 52-58. This week is another very busy schedule for the Patriots as they play McCreary Central, Mercer County, Danville, and Apollo. 7) Boyle County (13-6) - The Rebels split a pair of games last week as they beat Danville 58-49 but lost to West Jessamine 66-70. This week the Rebels host Southwestern, go to Garrard County and Lexington Christian. 8) Danville (13-11) - Last week the Admirals beat Garrard County 65-46, lost to Boyle County 49-58, and beat Rockcastle County 93-87. Next week the admirals are on the road at Pulaski County, Model, and Lincoln County. 9) Rockcastle County (16-10) - The Rockets split a pair of games last week as they beat McCreary Central 66-54 but lost to Danville 87-93. This week the Rockets host Jackson County and travel to Garrard County. 10) Casey County (10-15) - Last week the Rebels beat Barbourville 93-72 and Russell County 77-69 in OT, but lost to Perry County Central 71-83. This week they are on the road at Taylor county, Barbourville, and Central Hardin. 11) Garrard County (12-12) - Last week the Golden Lions lost to Danville 46-65 and West Jessamine 65-84, but beat district leader Lincoln County 58-52. They host Boyle County and Rockcastle County before traveling to Nicholas County this week. 12) Somerset (10-13) - The Briar Jumpers lost three games last week to Madison Southern 70-72, Pulaski County 59-69, and Franklin-Simpson 56-60. This week they play at Wayne County and play Knox Central at Pulaski County. 13) East Jessamine (10-16) - The Jaguars lost their only game last week to West Jessamine 61-87. They Play George Rogers Clark and McCreary Central this week. 14) McCreary Central (8-13) - Last week the Raiders lost to Rockcastle County 54-66 and Wayne County 45-88. They did beat Clinton County 63-47. This week they play on the road at Lincoln County and East Jessamine. 15) Burgin (12-11) - Last week the Bulldogs beat Robertson County 60-58 and Covington Latin 62-38. They lost to Jackson City 42-52. This week the Bulldogs play Walden, Campbellsville, Lynn Camp, and Brown. 16) KY School f/t Deaf (8-14) - Last week the Colonels lost to Walden 59-67 and St. Francis 21-54. titan101 Posted February 12, 2016 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Mercer will be rebuilding somewhat next year similar to what Lincoln and Boyle are doing this year after losing a deep and good senior class.
