Augusta jumps out to 19-4 first quarter leads and controls a big West Carter (15-6 record) rated #5 by Cantrall in the 16th Region. Panthers homecoming game featured solid deny defense and excellent ball handling. WC came to the river winning 7 of last 8, including a 2 point win over Bracken Tuesday night in the Igloo. Good win in the Den. Sorry no stats other than Conner Maddox knocked down 13 pts in 1st quarter.

 

Panthers go to 15-6, with a Homecoming Dance tonight and a 9:30 departure tomorrow morning for a JV 12:30 and 2:00 Varsity game against GRC in Winchester. Hope young legs are ready to go.

Excellent game all around for the Panthers. Jumped out to a big early lead and West Carter could not recover. It was under 3 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter before the Comets got to double figures and under 3 to go in the 3rd before topping 20 points. Augusta is playing their best defense of the season at the best time.
