Wow!

Didn't think this one would be close after seeing both play. Thought Dayton was a better team this year. Congrats to coach Hicks. Any details?

Bellevue was the better team tonight. They had a good game plan and stuck to it, their kids made more plays on both ends of the floor, they were aggressive offensively all game and were successful around the basket. Got to the free throw line more and had a ton of offensive rebounds.

 

Dayton didn't play very good defense on the drive and didn't close off to get rebounds. They also didn't get much offensively outside of Garcia.

 

Congrats to Bellevue. I think these teams play a couple more times still to come, so we will have a chance to see who the better team is for sure when it's said and done. I hope both teams stay healthy and continue to evolve for the rematch in a couple weeks at Dayton.

This is a great rivalry that will never die. I have a lot of great memories playing against the Devils. Love seeing my Tigers get the win and bounce back but also nice to see the Devils program getting better. They gave Highlands all they had the other night.

Bellevue still has a seeding game with Highlands as well. I know comparing scores is not a smart way to look at games, but Highlands will have to play a good game to lock up the 3 seed.
