One of Reginald Dwight's best songs in my opinion...Here's an early live version. An absolute lyrical masterpiece! This, along with" Funeral For a Friend" are two of his longest songs and also two of his best. Forty+ yrs have taken their toll on Elton's voice. The young Elton was very strong vocally.

 

Elton once famously sang at the funeral of his friend(Diana). Here's "Funeral" off his "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album.
