UofL Baseball

Featured Replies

See that a # of the national publications have UofL #2 in the nation going into the 2016 season. It's cold now, but baseball will be here before you know it and the Cards should be fun to watch. Lots of arms & lots of bats.

Will be interesting to see who steps into the #3 (SUN) pitching position to replace Rogers for the Cards. Funkhouser & McKay should be #1 and #2 based on last year. Burdi will close things and a strong bullpen will bridge any gaps.

Ray, McKay and others who got great experience in the Cape Cod league this past summer should present an offense with some pop. Replacing Whiting at the leadoff spot will be key. Not sure if Hairston is ready to do that yet, but he got valuable experience as a Frosh last year.

Can't wait for FEB 19 v. Eastern Illinois at JPatt!!!

Should be another exciting year to follow the Cards. Going to try to make it to more games this year than I did last.

Hope to see RS frosh Schreiver get some ABs this year.

You should come down and check out a game. JPat is awesome.

Love attending games there. However, I would not recommend sitting in the outfield grass area.

I need to. I enjoy the college game experience.

They really are a good time. Especially when there's a big time weekend series in town.

I've only sat out there once, and I would tend to agree. That's the kid zone out there.

Twice had to sit out there for a UofL/UK game. Spent more time watching legs go by than I did the game. People constantly stepping over me and ON me. :lol2:

Yeah, any of the "big" games you have to get there early or you will be stuck on the hill.

Schreiver doesn't appear to be on 2016 roster. Transfer maybe?

Practice today and intrasquad scrimmages (open to the public at JPat) SAT & SUN. Looks like maybe baseball has brought some warmer weather to the Ville!

UL and Butler H.S. alumnus Adam Duvall is in the running to be the starting left fielder for the Cincinati Reds.
