oldrambler Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Clemson head coach Dabo Sweeny announces suspension of three players for tomorrow's game, playoffs............. I have to admire D. Sweeny, he is a class act, rules are for everyone coach .....“You don’t do the right things, there’s consequences,” Swinney said Wednesday. “It’s really that simple. It’s not a complicated matter at all. We’ve got 115 guys and 112 did what’s right and three of them didn’t. They forfeit the opportunity and privilege to be a part of the game.”..... Dabo Sweeny. “Really hate it for them,” he continued. “They’re the ones that have to deal with the consequences because they’re missing out on a great opportunity. It doesn’t affect our team. We had a great practice yesterday. This is just what I do. It’s part of my job.”......Dabo Sweeny. oldrambler Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 Good job coach.Yes, I agree. Dabo has changed the culture at Clemson and elevated the Tigers to now a perineal power. I was reading on one Clemson site that he (Sweeny), before this season was looking at a Championship in the 2016-17 season. Clemson has an extremely young team this season and another banner recruiting class coming in for next season. According to ESPN, wide receiver Deon Cain, kick returner Ammon Lakip and tight end Jay Jay McCullough all failed drug tests. Clemson is absolutely loaded with talent however, I feel that Sweeny will just plug in the next man up and have him ready to go. I don't think that this will be a huge distraction. Clemson has came to play in each and every game this season and imo that's not going to change.

RomanEmpire Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Zero tolerance for drugs. If I was coaching this team, no suspension, they would be gone. What a selfish act at a horrible time.

What a selfish act at a horrible time.Agree 100 % with the bolded. I would / will trust Sweeny's call on if completely out for good (if underclassmen) He knows the kids situation (home, family, type of future, etc.) much better than anyone and if they've been a problem before. He may give them another chance, then again that may be the university/ AD's decision.
PurplePride92 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Ehhhh, if these were impactful players, like Watson, they wouldn't be suspended.
