December 29, 201510 yr You said "that is the problem", so the problem is "of the system"? So again I ask, who is that a problem for. If you don't want to watch, don't. I understand the math, and I'm not the one that said it is a problem, and while the popular (and lazy) narrative is "too many bowls", I continue to ask...who is that a problem for? Teams get to practice more, TV fills programming around the Holidays, people get vacations to see Tommy play...it shouldn't impact 99% of Americans but yet this narrative is so popular today. This. Never understood why people get all up in arms about the number of bowl games and letting 5 and 6 win teams in.
December 29, 201510 yr In the power 5 the amount of conf games create so many of these 6-6 and 5-7 teams. Take UK, if they only played the SEC East and filled the rest of the schedule with who they want, the cats could be 9-3 or 7-5 every year. On another note can anyone tell me why these conf want to play each other so much?
December 29, 201510 yr On another note can anyone tell me why these conf want to play each other so much? You sell a lot more tickets for Kentucky/Alabama than you do Kentucky/Charlotte.
December 30, 201510 yr Why are you all getting so offended by all of the bowl games? What does it hurt? Its not like they are taking your money or anything. Obviously they are making money otherwise they wouldn't do it. Its a good experience for the teams. Who cares?
