Taylor and Dunbar both seem to be overrated. Central could easily have beaten Dunbar even without Wells!

Taylor County is garbage. Won't win their own region. Young coach has lost control of his team.

While "garbage" seems harsh I can tell you I was not impressed with their effort and body language when I watched them.

I've said it all year, they are very overated, their role players are way below average.

When you are relying on transfers to be able to compete with teams after being rated #1 you have lost control. If he can't win with his own players then he isn't a real coach. Does anyone thinks it's a coincidence that he left his previous job at Moore and the following year they were garbage. He goes where he is going to be successful and doesn't actually build his own team. He relies on transfers. Also the Gaines kid will not be playing for some time because Warren East will not allow that.

Moore has gone through many coaches over the past 5/6 years. Gatewood is a good Coach. He current team us basically 2 great point guards. Best to take the beating early in season and get better each time out. But things will work out...

But they didn't!

It takes a lot of gumption for a grown man to call a group of teenagers garbage. Smh!

Maybe I'm partial but I'd like to change the direction of this thread to giving OC a little credit for a very nice win. Starters did their jobs and then some. Subs came in and made huge plays. They made adjustments when needed and kept their poise when Taylor made a run at them late in the game. They played with discipline and patience with several players in foul trouble. They hit foul shots down the stretch and remained focused. The Rebels are well coached and are learning and getting better as the season progresses.

This game was a pretty good picture of a team that was built to function efficiently around a star and a team that focused on stars and not the rest of the cast.

Williams is so much fun to watch. He can do pretty much everything. He would break the press against Goodin, scores every time he touched the ball on the block but can also create a shot further out on the floor and has a nice touch from midrange. He also did a decent job guarding Goodin though foul trouble prevented him from being as aggressive on him.

McDonald was on fire in the first half with 6 treys. The last 3 were all waaaayyyy outside, basically in Coach Gatewood's lap. Dunnaway also hit some shots early to help the Rebeks build a lead.

For Taylor Co it was mostly Goodin and occasionally Sloan driving to the basket and putting up an often challenged shot. They are both very skilled, but there seemed to be no teamwork. There wasn't much of an effort to set up teammates, and they didn't even really play off of each other much.

Overall it was a fun game to watch, and Owen Co had a very nice fan showing, which lead to a great atmosphere.

That's like saying Owen could of easily beat trinity because they were winning 43-30 an then didn't score for 9 mins... I believe Owen could hang with anyone in the state.. They have a shot..
