I really believe that things around Louisa are quite for good reasons. LC should surprise a lot of people this year. Just got back from the youth league and middle school practices and they have a lot of kids out for the first practice and the Louisa Middle School Panthers are going to be simply TOUGH!!!!

Why are the numbers down so much at L.C?

 

 

I think its a mix of Bily demanding so much from his players and the recent down years over the past 2 years or so which you cant really blame. They have had a BRUTAL non-district schedule to deal with but this is the year that LC football returns back to there it was. Billy and his staff are doing a great job and I think peolpe will be back behind this program after this year. A lot of good things are going on that people arent talking about and its ready to come up and bite you. I am so excited!!!

LC is keeping quiet because, frankly, talk is cheap. They want to come to the field with their expectations and not those of others, and they expect to win. They have had a rough couple of years' schedules to deal with when starting their seasons off and it proved to be hard on the team. With many past players gone, I think that these kids are coming together as a team unlike we have seen in the past couple of years. I truly believe that this team will make the fans proud, on & off the field. :thumb:

Time to bring this thread back to the forefront with the game now less than a week away.

After seeing how Sheldon Clark played against Perry County Central, I have to go with the Cardinals.

The line, (though not as good as last year) is a whole lot better than everyone anticipated. The backs played great, and QB Damen Henseley looked really comfotrable behind the line.

 

Plus, this game is at "The Rock".

 

A really physical game, that Sheldon Clark takes away.

im going to go with my boys from lawrence coutny on this one. this game is one of the hardest hitting, hard fought games you'll ever watch. this game may not mean much to anyone living out of eastern ky but dont tell that to anyone from the lawrence county and martin county lines. i always loved to watch these two play.one of the best games was when we playe sheldon clark at home and they won by 2 points i think it was 16-14 or 14-12. we had a running back that was young at the time, u might know him as michael west now.

I don't know much if anything about SC at all. I do however know and respect Lawrence Co. Football. One thing for sure is that I have never seen a LC team that would not hit you. I'll take LC in this one and wish the Bulldogs all the best this season.

Lawrence County plays football with whoever they have for as long as they can go. Louisa is down but not out. Look for the Kyle Carter on both lines , varnum. I like Dawg football it's physical , no frills similar in style to Ironton. If LCHS can match people skill wise or even close , good times will return in Lousia ... Good luck to both teams ....

To be honest i dont now who to pick in this game. SC returns nearly all its speciality players but lost some good O-lineman. LC had a down year and lost a lot of what they had last year including their two big playmakers in Spradlin and Humphery to graduation and transfer respectively. LC may surprise some ppl but i dont look for them to beat SC at SC. Should be a good one. My prediction:
