December 11, 201510 yr This might come in handy for our monthly debate on which is better- D3 or NAIA. Based on this list you could say D3=Good NAIA and D2=Bad NAIA. LOL! Are the D2 teams in KY that bad or are the D3 teams that good?
December 12, 201510 yr Those 2 D2 schools are bad. I have never seen Thomas More play but I have watched many Centre games. Seems to me NAIA kinda falls between D2 and D3 on average. If I can explain my opinion (and a humble one at that), if the top 5-10 teams in D3 played the top 5-10 teams in NAIA I thinks it's a coin toss. However if teams 11-50 D3 played teams 11-50 in NAIA I think NAIA wins 30-35 of those 40 games. Any given year the top of the heap in both divisions are some pretty good football team. But talent pool in the upper and middle of the pack would seem to favor NAIA because of money differences and higher academic standards at many D3 schools.
December 12, 201510 yr I find it hard to believe Thomas More could play Murray State as close as this ranking would lead you to believe.
December 12, 201510 yr UPIKE beat Morehead St. couple years ago. UPIKE has gone down a little in those two years and Morehead St. has gotten a little better but if Morehead is better than Murray this year and Thomas more is better than all the NAIA schools I actually could see it.
